A One-Stop Solution for Performance Assessment to Tackle Core Employee Challenges
Challenges:
- Building an inherent and robust dashboard, capable of tracking and assessing employee performance for the Management Trainee Group
- Ensuring the application provides 360-degree assessment on core areas such as customer focus, communication skills, result-driven approach, strategic thinking and knowledge
- Addressing the lack of a methodical approach to gain insights into hidden weaknesses, key strengths, and required improvements
Solution:
- While developing the assessment tool the following aspects were considered:
- It was the first assessment of the Management Trainees (MTs)
- The short stint of the MTs with the firm
- The number of projects handled within the specified time by them
- 360 Degree Feedback and Case Clinique were used as primary tools for the assessment. Psychometric Analysis, Team Activity, and Project Presentation served as supplementary tools. Based on these elements, various assessment tools were deployed to assess the competencies
- We relied on a competency matrix, Bar gap analysis, and Spider gap analysis to develop an ingenious tracking tool
- Additionally, we also extended the capability to compare the scores for an overall understanding of individual employee performance

- The client could achieve the desired composite assessment score on critical skills such as result orientation, customer focus, knowledge, strategic thinking, and communication
- Feedback was obtained through multiple stakeholders – direct reports, peers, self-assessment reports, and managers
