One of the largest retail brands wanted to create a location-based e-commerce mobile application, providing users with the ability to purchase and access the best offers at their fingertips.
Challenges:
- The client sought to develop a powerful and distinctive e-commerce app enabling users to discover the best offers from their preferred brands
- The app needed to be location-based, sending instant push notifications of exclusive offers whenever users were within a 2 km radius of a specific brand outlet
- Users should also have the flexibility to define a base location (a city) during sign-up to receive notifications when in that region

- To address the location-based requirements, we conducted in-depth research on Google Maps and GPS technologies
- The app was enhanced with GPS and Google Map capabilities, utilizing latitude and longitude coordinates for both users and brand outlets
- An integrated eCommerce platform allowed users to shop conveniently
- The result was a user-friendly dashboard and push notifications delivering the best offers whenever users were in proximity to a brand outlet
- Shoppers could then connect to the retailer’s product page through the notifications, browse offers, and define a base location for tailored notifications
